The Town Clerk's Office has a number of responsiblities including: the creation and maintenance of the Town's website, attendance at all Town Board meetings and preparation of the minutes; Records Mainenance Officer who is the custodian of all Town records and the handling of all freedom of information requests; issuing of state licenses for marriages, dogs, hunting and fishing, games of chance, bingo, handicapped parking and recycling/trash permits for the Village facilty; election coordinator for primary and general elections; and cash control officer which oversees the daily collection of fees, preparation of vouchers for expenditures, receipts for revenues, disbursements to state and county agencies and to the Town Supervisor. The Town Clerk also serves as the Registrar of Vital Statistics and Tax Collector. The Registrar maintains all birth, death and marriage records, issues burial transit permits and handles genealogy requests. The Tax Collector is responsible for the collection of County/Town taxes from January 1st to March 31st.
