Water District #7 was established in 2010 and provides for the installation of water supply lines on Dunn Road, Trombley Road, Coyle Road, Stickle Road and Route 34. June 20, 2012 - Construction has begun with the installation of piping under Route 34 at the intersection of Stickle and Trombley Roads. Highlander has also installed the piping under the Thruway through the steel casing that was installed during the Thruway construction project.
June 21, 2012 - The Contractor will be tapping the Cayuga County Water and Sewer Authority line today.
June 22, 2012 - Existing water main has been tapped at Dunn Road and meter pit and associated water piping are being installed on 6/22/12. Work will progress along Dunn Road as Contractor schedule allows.
July 10, 2012 - They are done with the Water Main and have installed the water lines on Dunn Road, Coyle Road and Trombley Road. They will be working on Stickles Road this week. Once the lines are installed they will need to be chlorinated and pressure tested. Highlander will then begin inserting the taps for each service.
August 15, 2012 - Construction is 98% completed, fire protection is operational and connection information has been forwarded to the property owners. The Town Board is working with the Engineer to complete the project and with Rural Development to complete the necessary work to coordinate the long term financing.
September 18, 2012 - Construction is essentially complete with a few punch list items to be completed. Resident have begun to connect to the system. The first water bills will be sent out at the beginning of November.
